Gozen 3-ji, Kimi wa Naku

On a rain-soaked day, college student Mitsutomi crosses paths with Seyama, a patissier nursing a visible injury. Convinced that entangling himself in a stranger’s affairs would only lead to trouble, Mitsutomi resolves to walk away, certain their lives will never intersect again. Yet, before disappearing into the downpour, he impulsively presses a bandage against the man’s face—a fleeting gesture of reluctant compassion meant to be his final involvement. Fate, however, has other plans. Just a few days later, the two unexpectedly find themselves standing face-to-face once more, shattering Mitsutomi’s assumption that their brief encounter was merely a passing moment. Drawn back into Seyama’s orbit despite his better judgment, Mitsutomi begins to notice unsettling details surrounding the patissier’s condition. As their renewed connection deepens, a troubling truth comes to light. Mitsutomi realizes that the wound Seyama bears was not the result of a simple accident, but was inflicted by the very person who should have been his source of comfort—his own lover. This revelation forces Mitsutomi to confront a painful reality, blurring the line between detached bystander and someone unable to look away from another person’s quiet suffering.
