Inu no Nakumura

In the secluded village of Asatsuki, ancient beliefs surrounding the Inugami—a powerful canine spirit—remain deeply woven into the fabric of daily life. When a redevelopment project threatens to alter the landscape, the community finds itself sharply divided over the future of their home. Tensions escalate dramatically when members of a construction company, who arrived to survey the local Inugami shrine, mysteriously lose their lives under unsettling circumstances. Amid this growing turmoil, Tsukiko Tachibana and her three childhood friends find themselves inevitably drawn into the dark events unfolding around them. As lifelong residents of the village, they are bound to its traditions and cannot escape the shadow cast by the recent deaths. Their involvement deepens when they take part in the sacred festival dedicated to sending off the Inugami. What begins as a solemn ritual soon entangles the four friends in the heart of the incident, forcing them to confront the terrifying supernatural forces lurking beneath their village’s fractured surface.
