A Big Shot In The Imperial Palace

Wei Yiyi is widely celebrated throughout the kingdom as one of its most beautiful and exceptionally talented women. Her life takes an unexpected turn when the Emperor himself dismisses her appearance, callously branding her as ugly. Deeply insulted by this public slight from the highest authority in the land, she resolves to strike back using the very gift that defines her: her extraordinary skill with a brush. Driven by indignation, Wei Yiyi embarks on a daring campaign of artistic revenge. She begins secretly crafting portraits of the Emperor, deliberately depicting him in the most grotesque and ridiculous ways imaginable. It is a dangerous game of defiance within the imperial court, where such mockery could easily cost her everything. Yet, rather than bringing about her immediate downfall, her rebellious artwork attracts an unforeseen admirer. The master painter of the imperial palace stumbles upon her subversive creations. Instead of reporting her treasonous caricatures to the authorities, he recognizes the undeniable brilliance behind her bold strokes. Impressed by her raw talent, the esteemed artist approaches Wei Yiyi with an offer she never anticipated, asking her to become his official apprentice and drawing her deeper into the treacherous yet captivating world of the imperial court.
