Saltiness

Thirty-one-year-old Nakamaru Takehiko has spent his entire life cultivating an unshakable composure. Through years of relentless mental training, he has forged a will so resolute that no earthly absurdity can disturb him. Whether faced with the bizarre spectacle of dog feces falling from the sky or the sudden appearance of a human-shaped strawberry monster, his calm remains absolute. He has mastered the art of being entirely unfazed by whatever strange circumstances the world presents. However, this ironclad serenity shatters when he makes a deeply personal realization: his continued presence in the family home is preventing his sister from getting married. Overwhelmed by sudden panic—a rare and foreign emotion for a man of his discipline—he abruptly abandons his familiar life and departs for Tokyo. Thrust into the harsh realities of urban survival without a place to call home, Nakamaru must navigate the streets relying solely on his indomitable spirit. As he struggles to carve out an existence in an unpredictable city, he discovers that enduring the world's chaos requires more than just solitary resolve; it demands the unexpected companionship of the unique individuals he encounters along his journey.
