Until the Autumn Equinox

"Until the Autumn Equinox" is a compelling collection of short stories exploring complex human emotions and poignant relationships. The titular story follows Hatsune, a male prostitute sold into a house of prostitution by his own brother and lover—a betrayal that fails to extinguish his deep yearning for him. Now working as a model for the artist Suzuro, Hatsune finds himself enchanted by the painter, all while his brother coincidentally secures a position as a bodyguard on the very same street. The volume also includes several distinct tales: "Breakfast," which follows a boy exhibiting symptoms of a peculiar man-eating syndrome; "Ring Tale," a story about two dating youths who are both secretly involved with their teacher, who is currently panicked over a lost ring; and "Honey Beta," an atmospheric dōjinshi about a rare flower that blooms by feeding on human memories, exploring the resilient nature of certain precious bonds that outlive our recollections.
