Reibaishi Izuna

Seventeen-year-old Izuna Hazuki appears to be an ordinary high school student, but she secretly belongs to the Itako—a lineage of individuals attuned to the spirit world. Operating within the modern city as a Reibaishi, she serves as a spiritual medium dedicated to confronting the supernatural threats that lurk unseen among the urban populace. The world is plagued by malevolent spirits that prey upon human vulnerability, feeding on emotional distress, deep-seated insecurities, and personal weakness. Once these entities possess their victims, they amplify negative energy until the afflicted become dangers to themselves and everyone around them. Their influence manifests in disturbing ways: some spirits manipulate young girls desperate for attention into becoming arsonists, while others exploit the hidden desires of men, twisting them into monstrous figures. Izuna’s duty is to exorcise these parasitic forces before irreversible harm occurs. She relies not only on her own formidable abilities as a Reibaishi but also on her Kuda, a fox-like spirit companion uniquely capable of detecting and destroying evil entities. Together, they navigate the treacherous boundary between fantasy and reality, bringing light to the darkness that threatens humanity from the shadows.
