Navigatoria

In the aftermath of the First Space War, humanity has achieved a monumental victory by establishing its first extraterrestrial colony. Yet this triumph is overshadowed by the oppressive nature of the totalitarian state that governs it. Within this rigid society lives Manabu Houo, a young boy who struggles to find meaning under constant surveillance and strict control. His sole source of happiness comes from secretly watching forbidden films alongside his childhood friend, Hina-chan. These illicit moments of escapism offer him a brief respite from a world defined by conformity and fear. However, Manabu’s fragile sanctuary is abruptly shattered when he returns home one day to discover a group of government officials waiting for him. Their unexpected presence signals a dangerous turning point, threatening everything he holds dear and forcing him to confront the harsh realities of the regime he lives under. As the authorities close in, the boundaries between his quiet daily life and the perilous political landscape begin to collapse. Set against the backdrop of a distant planet, Navigatoria delivers a gripping science fiction school drama that explores themes of rebellion, friendship, and survival in a world where even the simplest joys can be deemed criminal.
