Shiawase no Curtain Call

At the remote coordinates of 69°00' South latitude and 39°34' East longitude, the Antarctic summer brings a brief but bustling peak season for visitors to the isolated research base. Amidst the stark, icy landscape, Hoshi, a dedicated newspaper reporter, arrives at the station to conduct on-site coverage. Tasked with documenting life at the edge of the world, he steps into an environment defined by its extreme conditions and transient population of researchers and seasonal guests. During his assignment, Hoshi experiences an unexpected and mysterious encounter with a young girl whose presence at the desolate outpost raises quiet questions. This chance meeting disrupts his routine reporting and draws him into a deeply personal experience far removed from his original journalistic goals. Set against the breathtaking and unforgiving backdrop of Antarctica, their interaction sparks a heartwarming story that explores human connection in one of the most isolated places on Earth. What begins as a professional expedition gradually transforms into a touching narrative about finding warmth and meaning at the bottom of the world.
