Under the gods

Bai Tao is an eighteen-year-old high school senior, standing over 185 centimeters tall and serving as the main player on the school basketball team. Outwardly, he comes across as cynical and carefree, but beneath that exterior, he is inwardly clear-sighted. Having developed the power of clairvoyance, he has grown accustomed to seeing through people’s hypocrisy and therefore presents a “gangster” persona to the world. His father and mother are honest, hardworking working-class people, and they are Bai Tao’s most vulnerable spot—the ones he protects fiercely. Elder Qin is an old man Bai Tao once rescued, who turns out to be the supreme elder of a hidden ancient martial arts family, and the key figure responsible for granting Bai Tao his special abilities. Sylvia Lin is the class monitor and top student, the only person Bai Tao is willing to work with on serious matters, and the one he is drawn to yet hesitant to approach.
