Twenty-four-year-old Shirou Kirishima is an ordinary salaryman whose life is abruptly upended when he is suddenly laid off from his job. Devastated by the unexpected loss of his livelihood, he spends a miserable evening drowning his sorrows at a local bar. It is there that his fortunes take a bizarre turn when he is approached by Ai Ishimura, a striking and enigmatic twenty-eight-year-old woman.
