Dolls Fall

Dolls Fall follows the lives of young girls residing at the Jiaiin dormitory, a specialized orphanage dedicated to middle school students who have no families of their own. Upon arrival, these children are warmly embraced by both the resident matrons and their fellow orphans. The institution fosters a deeply familial atmosphere, encouraging every girl to view her peers as true sisters and the caretakers as surrogate mothers. For those without a home, Jiaiin presents itself as a comforting sanctuary where abandoned children can finally experience a sense of belonging and unconditional support. However, this idyllic refuge operates under a strict set of conditions designed to maintain its fragile peace. To remain safe within the dormitory's walls, the students must adhere to two absolute rules without exception. First, once night falls, every girl is required to lock her door and remain inside her room until morning. Second, under no circumstances may any student ever enter a matron’s private quarters. As long as these simple yet unyielding directives are followed, the orphanage remains a secure haven. Yet, the very specificity of these prohibitions hints at an underlying tension, suggesting that the safety promised by Jiaiin may be far more precarious than it initially appears.
