Clockwork Planet

Naoto is a high school dropout with an extraordinary gift for mechanics. Operating as a brilliant amateur tinkerer, he navigates a world that has been pushed far beyond its natural limits through relentless over-exploitation. In this devastated future, the Earth’s entire surface has been reconstructed into one colossal, interconnected machine, leaving humanity to survive within a fully mechanized landscape where organic nature has all but vanished. His isolated existence is abruptly shattered when a mysterious box crashes directly into his home. Inside, he discovers a dormant female automaton, an artifact of immense significance in a world already defined by gears and circuitry. This unexpected arrival is far more than a simple accident; it serves as the harbinger of a sweeping transformation destined to shake the very foundations of the globe. For Naoto, the discovery represents a profound turning point. Thrust from the margins of society into the center of a looming global upheaval, he is suddenly presented with an unprecedented opportunity. The arrival of the automaton offers him the chance to step out of the shadows, embrace his mechanical genius, and rise as the hero this transformed world desperately needs.
