Maya is a professional translator whose daily life revolves around an unconventional but deeply affectionate household. She shares her home with Michiru, her bisexual former girlfriend, and Michiru’s young son, Yuuta. Though their romantic relationship has ended, the bond between the two women remains strong, creating a nurturing environment for the child they both care for. Together, they navigate the quiet rhythms of domestic life, forging a connection that defies traditional labels while offering stability and comfort to everyone involved. Their close-knit circle extends beyond the walls of their apartment. Nico, an actor who lives in the very same building, has become a constant presence in their lives. He drops by almost every day, seamlessly integrating himself into their routine. Unlike outsiders who might misunderstand the complex dynamics at play, Nico is fully aware of Michiru’s past and accepts the household exactly as it is. His frequent visits add a lively energy to their days, blurring the lines between neighbor, friend, and family member. What emerges from this unique arrangement is a story about the many forms love and companionship can take. Neither entirely a traditional family nor simply a group of friends, Maya, Michiru, Yuuta, and Nico build a life defined by mutual support and gentle warmth. Their intertwined days offer a heartfelt exploration of chosen bonds, proving that the most meaningful connections are often those built on acceptance rather than convention.
