Princess Mermaid

Following the twisted reimaginings of Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel, Junko Mizuno concludes her vibrant, full-color fractured fairy tale series with Princess Mermaid. This darkly imaginative oceanic fable introduces three stunning and alluring mermaid sisters—Tara, Julie, and Ai—who draw unwary sailors into their lavish underwater palace, only to devour them. Driven mad by a thirst for vengeance over the horrific crimes committed against their mother by humanity, the sisters have sworn an oath to slaughter every man they encounter. However, their murderous crusade faces an unexpected complication when Julie falls deeply in love with Suekichi, a thoroughly human man. Their forbidden romance thrusts both lovers into the center of a volatile conflict between species, forcing Julie to choose between her family’s blood-soaked vendetta and her own heart. As tensions rise beneath the waves, the scheming and lustful Dragon of the Deep begins orchestrating his own treacherous plans. Caught between familial loyalty, interspecies warfare, and the manipulative ambitions of a powerful sea creature, Julie must navigate a treacherous path to determine whether true love can survive or if deception will drag everyone into ruin.
