Moto Saikyou Ansatsusha wa Inaka de Hissori Shinpu ni Naru ~Dai-shusse Shita Oshiego-tachi ni Shitawareu Ossan ga An'yakusuru Hanashi~

Once known throughout the kingdom as the legendary assassin Zach "the Shadow," he has long since forsaken his violent past. Now living a peaceful, secluded life as a rural priest, he devotes his days to raising orphaned children within the walls of his modest church. Far from merely offering spiritual guidance, Zach imparts everything he knows—instilling discipline, wisdom, and the formidable combat skills necessary for his students to forge their own paths in the world beyond. This quiet existence is disrupted when one of his most cherished pupils, Emilia, returns home carrying burdens she struggles to hide. Recognizing her silent distress, Zach realizes he can no longer remain passive. Falling back on the stealth and subterfuge that once defined him, he launches a covert investigation into the troubles haunting her, determined to protect his former student from the shadows. Yet while Father Zach intends to resolve matters unseen and retreat to his humble role, Emilia harbors entirely different ambitions. Refusing to let her mentor remain an obscure country priest, she sets out to drag him into the light, intent on ensuring the world finally recognizes the extraordinary man who shaped her life.
