Backstore Lovers

On the remote island of Kominami, home to just fifteen hundred residents, a single supermarket serves as the center of daily commerce. Time drifts by peacefully for Nagata, the store’s manager, who is accustomed to his quiet and predictable routine. However, his ordinary life takes an unexpected turn during a violent storm when he discovers a drenched stranger hiding in the store's back room. The man introduces himself as Momose, and with the severe weather making travel impossible, Nagata reluctantly agrees to let him stay the night. The arrangement quickly spirals out of control. When Nagata wakes up, he finds Momose initiating an intimate sexual encounter, casually claiming it is his way of repaying the favor for the shelter. Flustered and determined to restore order, Nagata attempts to evict his uninvited guest the following morning and bid him farewell. Instead of leaving quietly, Momose simply smiles and declares that he intends to go home with him. With this bold proclamation, Nagata’s tranquil rural existence on the isolated island is abruptly thrown into complete chaos.
