Shouhei was raised in an environment teeming with all manner of creatures, yet among the countless animals surrounding him, only one has ever truly captured his heart: the rabbit. Driven by this deep and singular affection, he spends his free time volunteering at a specialty shop dedicated entirely to these gentle animals. It is within the quiet, comforting atmosphere of this unique store that his life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Mito Itsuki, a person who quickly becomes the object of his intense, unrequited love. However, Shouhei carries a deeply personal secret—one so significant that he believes it must be hidden at all costs. As his feelings for Mito continue to grow, he finds himself caught in a delicate emotional struggle between his desire for closeness and the overwhelming fear of exposure. Maintaining this carefully constructed facade becomes essential if he hopes to remain by the side of the one he loves. The central tension of his story lies in whether he can successfully guard his hidden truth long enough to stay near Mito, or if the weight of his secret will ultimately threaten the fragile bond they share.
