Ogami Matsugorou

Ogami Matsugorou is a classic comedic romance centered on two complete opposites: a girl who abhors violence and a boy who knows nothing else but is genuinely trying to change. Ogami is the largest, roughest, and most feared student around, entering high school with an extensive list of enemies and an equally massive group of devoted followers. Violence defines his entire existence, though he possesses a peculiar habit of praying for his victims after beating them senseless. Everything shifts when mandatory volunteer work at a local kindergarten introduces him to Nagasaki Koume, a beautiful girl who despises fighting in any form. Determined to protect the kindergarten from local yakuza thugs who have been terrorizing it, Ogami recruits his gang to rebuild the furniture they destroyed. When the criminals inevitably return, he is pushed back toward the one thing he excels at—delivering a merciless beating that drives them away. Although Koume strongly disapproves of his violent methods, she cannot deny that his actions ultimately saved the day.
