Golden Time

Tada Banri, a newly admitted student at a prestigious private law school in Tokyo, finds himself hopelessly lost on campus following the opening ceremony. While searching for the freshman orientation hall, he crosses paths with another disoriented first-year student, Yanagisawa Mitsuo. The two quickly bond over their shared predicament and manage to navigate their way to the venue just in time. However, their arrival is abruptly interrupted when a strikingly elegant young woman appears before them holding a bouquet of roses. Without hesitation, she strikes Mitsuo across the face with the flowers before handing them to him, offering a simple "Congratulations, freshman" before walking away. This impeccably dressed and beautiful woman is Kaga Kouko, Mitsuo's childhood friend. Years ago, the two made a solemn promise to marry each other one day and fulfill all their shared dreams. Desperate to escape her overwhelming devotion, Mitsuo secretly applied to this renowned university without telling her, hoping to finally gain his independence. Yet Kouko proved just as determined, quietly taking the same law school entrance examination to track him down. Now, standing in the middle of the orientation hall, she has successfully caught up with him, ensuring that his attempt to start a new life will be anything but simple.
