Summary

Official Details
When five-year-old Futaro's father abandoned their home, his mother was left to care for him in poverty. Futaro's unfortunate appearance, reminiscent of Quasimodo, made him a target of ridicule and mistreatment by his neighbors. His mother's illness worsened as they struggled to afford medical treatment, and she eventually succumbed to her condition. With his mother's passing, Futaro is left to fend for himself, determined to do whatever it takes to earn money and survive.
