Ballad of a Shinigami

Clothed entirely in stark, pristine white, a solitary figure emerges from the encroaching shadows. Though her appearance radiates a gentle and unassuming innocence, this impression is entirely deceptive, for her slender hands firmly grip a gleaming, razor-sharp scythe. Momo serves as a shinigami—a dark messenger of death—entrusted with the solemn duty of severing human ties to the mortal realm. Accompanied by her witty, sharp-tongued feline companion named Daniel, she navigates the delicate threshold between life and the afterlife, guiding departed souls toward the great beyond. Because her presence invariably marks a final departure, every initial encounter with Momo ultimately concludes in a permanent farewell.
