Heart of Thorns

Liu Hai is an ordinary girl whose life takes a dramatic turn when she unexpectedly discovers a battered, mysterious book of magic. Driven by curiosity, she attempts to replicate one of the arcane diagrams within its pages. However, instead of a simple magical effect, her attempt to draw the magic circle inadvertently triggers a summoning ritual that pulls a monster girl named Chi Xiaoliu into the human world. Chi Xiaoliu is no ordinary creature. For a long time, she had been kept imprisoned, exploited as the living source of power for the Kingdom of Chi. Desperate for freedom, she had spent ages searching for a way out. By sheer coincidence, her long-awaited escape aligns perfectly with the moment Liu Hai completes the magical circle in the human realm, tearing open a path between their worlds. Bound together by this extraordinary accident, the two girls find themselves face-to-face under impossible circumstances. What begins as an unintended summoning quickly evolves into a fateful encounter, intertwining the lives of a human who stumbled upon forbidden magic and a captive monster girl who finally broke free from her chains.
