Long Live the Drama King

After the catastrophic failure of his debut project, Lee Hyunseok abandoned all ambitions of working as a television producer. However, in his final dying moments, he is granted one last wish. Rather than asking for wealth or a peaceful end, Hyunseok desires only one thing: the chance to produce the ultimate makjang drama, a genre defined by its extreme melodrama and shocking plot twists. Miraculously, his wish is answered, granting him a second chance at life alongside the unexpected guidance of a spectral fellow producer. Yet this resurrection comes with a strict deadline, forcing Hyunseok into a desperate race against time to secure both high viewership ratings and industry recognition. The odds are heavily stacked against him from the start, as he must navigate production with absolutely no budget, a cast of untested rookie actors, and an amateur screenwriter. Despite these overwhelming obstacles, Hyunseok refuses to surrender his dream. He channels every ounce of his renewed passion into crafting a series that defies expectations. Much like the sensational dramas he aims to create, his own journey back to the director's chair proves to be filled with unpredictable challenges and thrilling reversals, proving that the greatest stories often emerge from the most impossible circumstances.
