Sore wa Rei no Shiwaza desu

Torii Nozomu is the definition of unremarkable—a quiet, introverted high school student who prefers to blend into the background and avoid unnecessary attention. His carefully maintained low profile is disrupted when a new transfer student named Kirishima Kyoko takes the seat right next to him. Beautiful, gentle, and unexpectedly eager to strike up conversations with someone as plain as him, she seems like an absolute angel. For any ordinary teenager, her friendly approach would be a dream come true, but Nozomu has one overwhelming reason to keep his distance. Kirishima is constantly accompanied by a ghost that only Nozomu possesses the ability to see. This spirit is far from a passive presence; it is mischievous, startlingly pure in its intentions, and occasionally downright terrifying. Despite his desperate desire to remain uninvolved, the supernatural entity attached to his sweet new seatmate ensures that staying out of trouble is no longer an option. What follows is a heart-pounding romantic comedy centered on an unfortunate boy who can see the unseen and the haunted girl whose invisible companion turns his quiet life into an unpredictable ordeal.
