Golden Curse

While attempting to decipher a sacred heavenly text, the Taoist Cui inadvertently unleashes a mystical treasure-gathering golden toad. Captivated by the wealth and prosperity of the mortal realm, the creature abandons its spiritual form and reincarnates as a human named Dou Zhanlong. However, this forbidden transformation draws the wrath of the heavens, forcing him to take drastic measures to survive an impending celestial calamity. To evade his divine punishment, the golden toad violently fractures the three souls and seven spirits residing within Dou Zhanlong’s spiritual core. This shattering creates nine distinct clones, each scattered across different parallel dimensions of time and space. Bound by a cruel cycle, every clone exists in isolation, and whenever one perishes, another is immediately born to take its place. Together, these fragmented lives are destined to endure a grueling gauntlet known as the nine deaths and thirteen disasters. Trapped in an endless loop of mortality and rebirth across fractured realities, the clones must navigate their intertwined fates against overwhelming cosmic forces. The saga begins with the journey of the very first Dou Zhanlong, setting into motion a harrowing tale of survival, sacrifice, and the desperate struggle to outrun heaven itself.
