Enomoto is a college student who frequently finds his thoughts drifting back to the past, specifically to the years he spent alongside his childhood friend, Shimura. For as long as Enomoto could remember, Shimura was a constant presence in his life, always standing by his side. However, six years ago, that enduring companionship came to an abrupt halt when Shimura suddenly transferred away. The departure happened so quickly that Enomoto never had the chance to ask where his friend was moving, and from that day forward, all communication between them ceased entirely. For six long years, Enomoto has lived with the quiet weight of that unresolved separation, left only with memories of their shared youth. Then, without any warning, fate intervenes during an ordinary Philosophy lecture at his university. Sitting in the classroom, Enomoto unexpectedly comes face-to-face with Shimura once again after years of complete silence. Overwhelmed with joy, Enomoto is thrilled beyond measure at this miraculous reunion. Yet, his elation is met with a jarring reality: Shimura’s reaction is far from reciprocal. Instead of sharing Enomoto’s excitement, Shimura appears distant, harboring feelings that stand in stark contrast to the warmth Enomoto still holds for him.
