Toshishita Kareshi ni Hirowaremashita

Shouta Kogawa is a gay man in his thirties who remains emotionally tethered to the memory of his first love. Unable to move past those lingering feelings, he drowns his sorrows one night, drinking himself into a state of total oblivion. It is during this vulnerable moment that Mayu Mikuni, a vibrant and youthful high school student, steps in to look after him. Under the heavy influence of alcohol, Shouta loses his inhibitions entirely and makes an unexpected romantic confession to the teenager—a revelation that leaves him utterly mortified once he finally sobers up and grasps the gravity of his actions. Determined to maintain his dignity and moral boundaries, Shouta resolves to distance himself from the situation. He firmly believes that pursuing any connection with Mayu is out of the question, especially since the younger boy appears to be completely straight. Yet, despite Shouta's strict internal rules and desperate attempts to keep things platonic, Mayu begins showing an undeniable interest in him. As the earnest high schooler subtly challenges every boundary Shouta tries to enforce, the older man finds himself caught in a deeply complicated emotional struggle, torn between his rigid sense of propriety and the overwhelming warmth of someone much younger who refuses to let him go.
