Imagine

Imagine is a manga centered on the theme of self-discovery, following the intertwined lives of a mother and daughter as they navigate their respective personal and professional journeys. The story focuses on a resilient single mother who has built a successful career as the head of her own architectural firm. Despite her outward achievements and commanding presence in the business world, she embarks on a deeply personal quest to understand herself beyond her demanding role as both a company leader and a parent. Alongside her is her daughter, who works as a secretary at an office. While her mother shapes skylines and manages a thriving enterprise, the daughter finds her own path within the structured environment of corporate administration. Together, their contrasting daily experiences highlight the different ways each woman confronts her identity, ambitions, and sense of purpose. The narrative is further enriched by thematic elements evoked through its associated motifs—Let It Be, Kinu no Tebukuro, and Toge no Nai Bara—which reflect the emotional undercurrents of acceptance, gentle protection, and finding beauty without pain. Through these parallel stories of growth, the manga offers a poignant exploration of how two women from the same family strive to define themselves on their own terms.
