Gringo 2061

July 28, 2061, begins as a miserable day for Raiji when he is wrongfully accused of groping someone on public transit. Hoping to shake off the humiliation, he meets up with his friends Yuma and Osamu that evening to observe the highly anticipated arrival of Halley’s Comet. However, the celestial event unfolds far differently than anyone predicted. The comet appears hours ahead of schedule, and instead of simply streaking across the night sky, it detonates in a blinding flash of light. When their vision clears, every other person who had been watching alongside them has completely vanished without a trace. The familiar world they knew is instantly replaced by a surreal and terrifying landscape. Nightmarish giant mushrooms now dominate the terrain, and grotesque, twisted human faces manifest throughout the area. Thrust into this violent and unrecognizable reality, Raiji, Yuma, and Osamu must fight to survive. As they navigate the ruins of their former lives, the three friends will face relentless threats from both desperate humans and horrifying, inhuman entities lurking in the dark.
