Kono Ai ni Hizamazuke

Suwa Fuyuki is a young man currently studying law, following in the footsteps of his father, who serves as the dedicated legal counsel for a powerful yakuza syndicate. This criminal organization is led by Komine Mitora, a ruthless boss whom Fuyuki deeply despises. Despite his personal hatred for Mitora and everything the syndicate represents, Fuyuki has long been entangled in this dangerous underworld through his family's obligations. However, fate intervenes when Fuyuki’s father suddenly falls gravely ill, leaving a critical void within the organization's operations. The burden of responsibility now rests squarely on Fuyuki’s shoulders, forcing him into an agonizing dilemma: he must decide whether to step up and assume his father's role as the official lawyer for the very yakuza group—and the leader—he loathes, or walk away from the legacy entirely. This impossible choice threatens to alter the course of his life forever. As Fuyuki wrestles with duty, resentment, and ambition, the fragile balance between him, his ailing father, and Komine Mitora begins to shift. The decisions he makes will not only define his own future but will also determine the ultimate fate of the entire syndicate.
