The day I brought the seven female disciples down from the mountain of corpses and the sea of blood, I sealed my fate as the enemy of the world. I taught them to read and write, taught them how to conquer a nation, and even taught them how to crush an enemy’s testicles with the gentlest of gestures. But God declared that they embodied the seven deadly sins and had to die. That day, six cold bodies were nailed to the Pillar of Divine Punishment. The youngest took her last breath in my arms. None of them cried, even at the end. They smiled and said, “Teacher, don’t frown. It makes you ugly.” I buried them, wiped their tears, and polished their pointers. If God says I am guilty, then I will stain my pointer red with divine blood. Now I stand alone. I will kill God.
