Kijin Gahou

Kijin Gahou is a collection of surreal one-shot stories defined by dark humor and bizarre concepts. The anthology explores obsessive behaviors through unsettling narratives, including a girl who compulsively hoards every object touched by her crush, and a man who meticulously curates a photographic album documenting explicit sexual encounters with various women. In another tale, a suicidal young woman becomes entangled with a disturbing group that has transformed abortion into grotesque performance art, all presented through the author's signature brand of absurd, pitch-black comedy. The remaining stories push societal norms into nightmarish extremes. One chapter envisions a world where disembowelment has inexplicably become the latest fashion trend among schoolgirls, while another examines the addictive, visceral pleasure derived from implanting worms beneath human skin. The collection culminates in "Holy Night," a chaotic scenario where Santa Claus terrorizes Japan by relentlessly flooding citizens with unwanted gifts. Victims can only halt the deliveries by convincing him they are satisfied—a nearly impossible task for a girl constantly bombarded with vibrators. As she desperately searches for a way to end her torment, the Japanese government simultaneously devises elaborate schemes to capture or eliminate the relentless figure once and for all.
