Lumberjack

Legend speaks of the Masinmok, a colossal giant tree said to grant a single wish to anyone who successfully reaches its summit. Driven by this promise, ambitious explorers set out to conquer its treacherous heights. However, rather than face the deadly perils themselves, they force enslaved laborers known as Lumberjacks to absorb the dangers in their place. These unfortunate souls are stripped of their autonomy and thrust into a brutal existence where survival is never guaranteed. For these slaves, there is only one path to liberation: surviving exactly one hundred expeditions up the unforgiving tree. It is a nearly impossible feat that claims countless lives before freedom can ever be realized. Yet for a young Lumberjack named Jack, that distant dream is finally within reach. Having endured unimaginable hardships across ninety-nine harrowing journeys, he stands on the precipice of reclaiming his life. Now, with the end of his long servitude finally in sight, Jack prepares to embark on his hundredth and final expedition. The stakes have never been higher, as one last ascent stands between him and total freedom. In a world defined by exploitation and peril, Jack must summon every ounce of his strength and resilience to survive the ultimate climb and leave his chains behind forever.
