Monster Eater

Rude is an E-rank adventurer whose sole ability, Status Ailment Nullification, offers little practical value beyond harvesting medicinal herbs in dungeons thick with toxic miasma. Lacking any meaningful combat strength, he endures constant ridicule from his peers, who derisively brand him the Miasma Scavenger. Determined to escape this miserable existence and forge a new path, Rude joins an expedition into an uncharted dungeon, hoping to finally prove his worth. Instead of opportunity, he finds treachery. His own party turns on him, abandoning him deep within the perilous labyrinth to die. Stripped of his supplies and slowly succumbing to his injuries, Rude faces an agonizing choice between starvation and violating a fundamental taboo. In a final act of desperation, he consumes the flesh of a monster. This forbidden meal awakens an extraordinary power within him. By devouring his enemies, Rude discovers he can absorb their abilities, transforming his once-useless existence into something formidable. What follows is the story of his relentless rise, as the despised scavenger becomes a fearsome predator, claiming new skills from every foe he consumes in a dark and unforgiving world.
