An Adventurer’s Daily Grind at Age 29

Raised in the harsh conditions of the slums, Hajime Shinonome spent his youth relentlessly pursuing the strength needed to survive. Those desperate days are now behind him. At twenty-nine, he has settled into a quiet, carefree existence as the resident adventurer of Komai Village, finally enjoying the peaceful life he once fought so hard to secure. His tranquil routine is abruptly interrupted during a routine quest when he ventures into a local dungeon and makes a startling discovery. He finds a young girl named Lirui being attacked by a slime, one of the weakest monsters in existence. Abandoned by her parents and left with nowhere to turn, the child had entered the dangerous dungeon alone simply to stay alive. Unable to abandon a helpless child in such dire circumstances, Hajime steps in to rescue her. Recognizing that she has no one else to rely on, he brings Lirui back to Komai Village and takes her into his home. What begins as a simple act of compassion soon transforms his solitary, easygoing lifestyle, as this seasoned adventurer must now navigate the unexpected challenges of caring for a child while maintaining his daily duties.
