Ankoku Kishi Monogatari: Yuusha wo Taosu Tameni Maou ni Shoukansaremashita

Kuroki's ordinary life is abruptly shattered when he is suddenly summoned to another world. However, the entity responsible for pulling him across dimensions is not a benevolent deity or a desperate kingdom of light, but rather Modes, the fearsome Demon King himself. The reason for this unprecedented summoning is dire: the dark territory currently under the Demon King's rule stands on the absolute brink of annihilation, threatened by the relentless advance of a powerful hero determined to wipe it from existence. Despite possessing a monstrous and truly atrocious appearance, the terrifying Demon King does something entirely unexpected. Modes humbles himself, bowing deeply before the bewildered Kuroki, and pleads with desperate sincerity, begging the summoned human to act as their savior and protect his people from impending doom. Confronted with this shocking reversal of roles—where the forces of darkness are the victims and the legendary hero is the harbinger of destruction—Kuroki finds himself caught in an extraordinary dilemma. Through a sudden and unforeseen turn of events, he ultimately makes the fateful decision to lend his strength to the Demon King, setting forth on a perilous journey to save the very monsters he was always told to fear.
