Ningen ni Koishita Oni wa Warau

Time moves differently for a demon. The young boy she encountered long ago has now grown into an elderly man, his life shaped by the inevitable passage of years that barely touch her own immortal existence. Yet, despite their enduring connection, she can never age alongside him or share in the quiet twilight of his life. She remains forever unchanged, bound to her demonic nature while he is tethered to his fragile humanity. This cruel divide forces her to confront a painful question: why was he born human while she was cursed to be a demon? This deeply emotional story weaves together the lives of two profoundly lonely souls navigating an impossible bond. One is a boy burdened by a heavy darkness he carries within himself, struggling against shadows that threaten to consume his world. The other is a demon who has existed without ever understanding the meaning of love, suddenly forced to grapple with unfamiliar feelings she cannot name. Together, they embark on a bittersweet journey defined by longing and sorrow. Theirs is a gently heartbreaking tale about the vast distance between human mortality and demonic eternity, exploring what happens when a creature incapable of affection begins to fall for someone she can never truly grow old beside.
