Nejimaki Seirei Senki: Tenkyou no Alderamin

The Katjvarna Empire and the Kioka Republic are locked in a bitter conflict, with imperial forces struggling to hold their borders against relentless enemy assaults. Amid this escalating war, Yatorishino, a young woman from one of the empire's most influential families, prepares to sit for the high-ranking military officer examinations. Determined to secure the top position, she strikes a calculated bargain with Ikuta—a brilliant but notoriously lazy, anti-war, and girl-obsessed young man. In exchange for a valuable favor from her powerful family, Ikuta agrees to take the exams alongside her and ensure her success. Their plan proceeds smoothly through the initial written test, but disaster strikes when the group boards a vessel to travel to the next stage of the examination. The ship unexpectedly sinks, casting Yatorishino, Ikuta, and several fellow examinees into the unforgiving wilderness. Stranded deep behind enemy lines, the situation grows even more complicated when they discover they are now responsible for protecting a mysterious and seemingly important young girl. With hostile territory surrounding them and no reinforcements in sight, the reluctant duo must rely on their wits to survive the perilous journey ahead.
