Manatsu no Mermaid

Anna works as a dedicated physician at a modest clinic nestled in a quiet, small village. When the demanding summer season arrives and her workload intensifies, she receives unexpected assistance from Sam, a familiar face from her childhood who has always been both a close acquaintance and a fierce rival. Now widely recognized as a celebrity doctor with his own television program, Sam’s arrival brings much-needed support to the overworked clinic, though it also introduces immediate complications. Despite her relief at having an extra pair of hands during the busiest time of the year, Anna quickly finds herself clashing with him over his intentions. She firmly insists that he cannot use the rural clinic as a filming location for his television show, setting the stage for their constant bickering. The two seem capable of arguing over absolutely anything, maintaining the same fiery competitive dynamic they have shared since they were young. Beneath the surface of their endless disputes, however, Anna struggles to conceal a deeply personal secret. Whenever Sam drops his television persona and reveals his more masculine side, her heart races with undeniable feelings of desire. As the sweltering summer progresses, her greatest challenge becomes ensuring that her lifelong rival never discovers the intense attraction quietly growing within her.
