Chasing Tails

Nine college students find themselves entombed beneath the rubble of a collapsed building, enduring fourteen harrowing days in total darkness before rescue finally arrives. When the debris is cleared, only six emerge alive, and merely four retain the ability to speak. The recovered remains of their deceased classmates are discovered in a state of brutal mutilation, transforming what initially appeared to be a tragic structural failure into a chilling homicide investigation. Tasked with unraveling this nightmare are Detective Lieutenants Jeong-Do Kwon and Yeong-Chae Sin, who join forces with Dr. Yeong-Hwa Ju, a renowned neuropsychiatrist brought in to assist with the psychological complexities of the case. Together, they must sift through fragmented witness testimonies and inconclusive physical evidence, searching for clarity amid trauma, silence, and deception. The investigation quickly evolves into an impossible puzzle. Every survivor endured the same unimaginable confinement, yet each now stands as both a potential witness and a prime suspect. With no clear entry or exit from their subterranean prison, the detectives face a true locked-room mystery where the line between victim and perpetrator has been entirely erased, and uncovering the truth may prove more dangerous than the collapse itself.
