Am I dead, or am I alive? After being bitten by a zombie, Seong-Hun finds himself trapped in a harrowing gray area between the living and the undead. He has not fully transformed into a mindless monster, yet his body bears the undeniable marks of infection. His movements are sluggish, his physical appearance is drastically altered, and a relentless urge to consume human flesh constantly gnaws at his senses. Despite these terrifying changes, his mind remains remarkably intact. Unlike the typical infected, Seong-Hun retains his memories and cognitive abilities. He can still read, he vividly recalls the comforting scent of his crush, and most importantly, he remembers his deep loyalty to his friends. Driven by this lingering humanity, he resolves to protect the people he cares about from the horrors of the outbreak. However, his determination places him directly at odds with the other intelligent zombies who roam the ruined world. These self-aware creatures view his desire to shield humans as an unacceptable betrayal, forcing Seong-Hun into a desperate struggle for survival against both his own monstrous instincts and a hostile new society that refuses to accept his compassion.
