Ningyo no Sodate Kata

A year after leaving his job behind, a solitary man has settled into a quiet life in a peaceful seaside town. His isolated routine is suddenly disrupted when a fierce storm sweeps through the coast. Once the weather clears, he ventures out onto the shore and makes an astonishing discovery: a young mermaid girl lies injured on the sand. Driven by compassion, he carries her back to his home and carefully places her in his bathtub, hoping the water will help her recover. However, as the immediate crisis passes, a daunting reality sets in. He is now entirely responsible for a mythical creature he knows nothing about, leaving him with a pressing question—how exactly does one care for a mermaid? This manga explores the unexpected challenges and gentle moments that arise from this unusual living arrangement. The story is beautifully brought to life through striking, full-color artwork rendered in a highly distinctive visual style.
