Official Details
Twenty-seven-year-old office worker Mone Saionji has always lived a rigid, serious life. Having never truly experienced the carefree joys of youth during her actual school days, she finds herself unexpectedly thrust into an absurd situation when her roommate, manga artist Koharu Uzuki, begs her to put on a high school uniform and pretend to be a student for her own mysterious purposes. Against all logic, Mone agrees to the bizarre request. Dressed in the unfamiliar outfit, Mone is shocked when Koharu insists they actually step outside together. For someone who spent her adolescence strictly following the rules and rarely playing around, walking through the city disguised as a high schooler fills her with relentless anxiety. Every glance from passersby makes her heart race as she struggles to maintain the illusion while navigating the outside world in her fabricated persona. What follows is a hilarious coming-of-age comedy centered on two adult women exploring a youthful experience they never quite had. As Mone battles her nerves and Koharu drives their unconventional outing forward, the pair embarks on an unforgettable adventure that challenges everything Mone thought she knew about growing up.
