Mujintou ni Motte Iku nara

Akagi is an ordinary office worker whose quiet life is disrupted when he unexpectedly reunites with Ichimori, a former high school classmate. The two share a complicated history rooted in guilt and obligation. During their school years, Ichimori was the celebrated star of the judo club until Akagi accidentally inflicted a severe leg injury that permanently ended his athletic career. Desperate for forgiveness at the time, Akagi made a sweeping promise to do absolutely anything Ichimori asked of him—a vow that continues to bind them long after graduation. Years later, Ichimori suddenly resurfaces with a request. Claiming that his girlfriend has kicked him out, he asks Akagi to take him in temporarily. Bound by the weight of his past promise, Akagi feels he has no right to refuse the man whose future he derailed. Yet, as they begin living together under the same roof, Akagi cannot shake a lingering sense of unease. Beneath the surface of this seemingly straightforward arrangement, he finds himself quietly questioning Ichimori’s true motives, wondering why his former classmate chose to seek him out after all this time.
