Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Deleted Affair - Portrait of Young Comet

Serving as a direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam and a narrative bridge leading into the events of Gundam 0083 and Zeta and ZZ Gundam, this manga chronicles the immediate aftermath of the One Year War. Following the decisive battle of A Baoa Qu, Colonel Char Aznable retreats with the surviving remnants of the Zeon forces, setting a course for the asteroid base of Axis. It is here, in the uncertain wake of a devastating conflict, that Char encounters a fourteen-year-old Haman Karn, a young woman whose admiration for the legendary officer gradually blossoms into deep romantic affection. However, finding sanctuary on Axis does not grant Char the peace he seeks. He soon finds himself entangled in a dangerous internal conflict when Colonel Enzo emerges as a formidable adversary. Driven by an unyielding desire to reignite hostilities against the Earth Federation Forces, Enzo actively plots to drag the battered remnants of Zeon back into full-scale warfare. Forced to navigate both Haman’s growing devotion and Enzo’s reckless ambitions, Char must confront the heavy burdens of his legacy while determining the future direction of a fractured people desperate for leadership.
