Hatsurukotonaki Mirai yori: Giniro no Tsubasa

During the height of the Pacific War, Mimori Ichirou served as a non-commissioned officer and Zero fighter pilot. When ordered to carry out a suicide strike against an enemy warship, his final mission took an impossible turn. Instead of meeting his end in a fiery kamikaze descent, Ichirou crash-landed in the heart of a vast, unfamiliar desert. Stranded in a desolate expanse of sand with no hope of rescue, he wandered aimlessly until death seemed inevitable. His life was spared only when a mysterious princess possessing the power to transform into a dragon intervened and pulled him from the brink. Thrust into a world far stranger than the battlefield he left behind, Ichirou found himself utterly without direction or guidance. Yet, bound by a solemn promise made long ago, the young pilot refused to surrender to despair. Driven by unwavering resolve, he set out on a seemingly impossible journey to return to Japan, fully aware that completing his original mission meant facing certain death. Hatsurukotonaki Mirai yori: Giniro no Tsubasa is a light novel adaptation of Frontwing's visual novel Hatsurukotonaki Mirai yori.
