Watashi ni Uso wo Tsuite

Watashi ni Uso wo Tsuite, also known as Tell Me A Lie, is a one-shot story centered on a young woman named Terumi Arai. Unlike ordinary people, Terumi possesses an extraordinary and deeply intrusive ability: she can read the thoughts of anyone whose eyes she meets. This involuntary power activates the moment her gaze locks with another person's, granting her immediate access to their innermost feelings, secrets, and unspoken truths. While such a gift might seem advantageous, it fundamentally alters how she experiences human connection, transforming every simple interaction into an overwhelming flood of unfiltered consciousness. Living with this constant exposure to the hidden minds of others presents a profound personal dilemma for Terumi. The sheer weight of knowing what everyone truly thinks makes genuine relationships nearly impossible, as she is forever burdened by the raw honesty behind people's carefully constructed facades. She cannot enjoy the comfort of a polite fiction or the warmth of a well-intentioned deception, because the truth is always laid bare before her. Her daily life becomes a delicate balancing act of avoiding eye contact and managing the psychological toll of a world where no secret remains safe from her sight. Ultimately, Terumi must navigate a quiet but intense internal conflict, longing for the simple peace that comes when someone finally tells her a lie she cannot see through.
