Gekijouban Mononoke: Karakasa

Set within the opulent yet perilous confines of the inner chambers of an Edo-period harem, a dark and dangerous atmosphere settles over the newly arrived residents. Two young women, freshly introduced to this secluded world of strict hierarchy and hidden agendas, quickly find themselves entangled in a web of intense political intrigue. As they navigate their unfamiliar surroundings, bitter rivalries begin to surface among the inhabitants, turning the once-gilded sanctuary into a battleground of whispered schemes and mounting tension. However, the human conflicts are soon overshadowed by a far more terrifying threat. A vengeful spirit emerges from the shadows of the harem, feeding on the malice and fear that permeate the corridors. This malevolent entity brings a supernatural horror that no ordinary resident or guard can hope to withstand, plunging the entire household into desperate peril. Amidst the escalating chaos, only one figure possesses the knowledge and ability to confront the unseen terror. A mysterious traveling medicine seller arrives at the estate, carrying with him the unique skills required to face such otherworldly dangers. Standing as the sole barrier between the doomed women and their supernatural doom, he must unravel the spirit's origins and vanquish the vengeful force before it consumes everyone within the harem's walls.
