On his way to work, college student Yuji Shin spots a weakened swallow lying helplessly on the road. Though he generally dislikes dealing with troublesome situations, he cannot bring himself to ignore the injured bird. He carefully tends to its wounds and nurses it back to health, despite his own tight finances making it difficult enough just to support himself. Once the swallow is strong enough, he prepares to release it back into the wild. Before departing, the grateful swallow visits a mountain spirit and promises to repay Yuji's kindness in the traditional manner by finding him a "Mr. Park"—a benefactor destined to return the favor. However, there is one glaring problem: it is the twenty-first century, and no such Mr. Park exists anymore. Unable to fulfill its promise through conventional means, the determined swallow decides that the only way to properly express its gratitude is to repay Yuji directly with its own body. Thus begins the swallow's bold and unconventional mission to fully return the debt of kindness to the struggling young man who saved its life.
