Cat God

Told entirely through the perspective of cats, this Donghua presents a sweeping journey across time and imagination. The narrative unfolds as ten surreal and enigmatic scrolls are revealed one by one, each drawing the audience deeper into a mysterious feline world. Through these distinct chapters, viewers witness the chaos of intense battlefields, the quiet passing of fleeting historical moments, the warmth of heartfelt family bonds, and bold, imaginative visions of the future. To bring this ambitious scope to life, the production employs a diverse array of artistic techniques. Ink painting, traditional 2D animation, detailed 3D visuals, and tactile stop motion are seamlessly woven together, with each scroll adopting a unique visual approach. This shifting stylistic landscape not only distinguishes every tale but also serves to capture the profound essence of Eastern aesthetics. Together, these ten scrolls form an atmospheric anthology where history, emotion, and fantasy converge, inviting audiences into a beautifully crafted universe seen exclusively through the eyes of cats.
